In the admin panel you can create custom titles and then assign images to them. Regular members have titles and images linked to the amount of posts they make which is why both change. Staff members have permanent titles and images that don't change regardless of post count. Obviously when farquezy's rank was made nothing else was assigned.

There is a phpBB hack that you can add to this site, that will only give you post count credit in only certain sections of the forum. For example. If you don't want a member's post count to rise in the General Talk section, you can do this. It will only increase if they participate in help sections and etc.

Also a point system can also be added. That members will vote whether to increase or decrease their ranking according to their replies and content.

Another alternative, is to close down all the sections of this forum that isn't about PSP help. But then, it will become quite gloomy in here with little to no participation, since there will be nothing more to talk about. Let's face it, most of us already know how to use a PSP.

Also the ranks don't really mean anything according to the experience of using a PSP. They are there to just let us know that the person is an active person in this forum (one way or another). Perhaps changing the titles of the ranks to just Newbie, Regular, Active, Very Active, Lives Here!, and etc. Might be the best choice?
