"missing link" found: 47million year old human anc

its over! the literal creationists worst nightmare has finally materialized.
with the finding of a TRANSITIONARY PRIMATE fossil, the supposed 'missing link' has been found.

what does this mean for creationists and biblical literalists?
it PROVES that the biblical creation story is utterly false.
it proves that man evolved, as did other species.
it proves that the bible is not the word of god, but the fallible conjecturings of ill informed bronze age scribes.

EVOLUTION = REAL
CREATIONISM = FALSE
BIBLE = FAIL

Okay, firstly, some people believe that God created us to evolve from other animals and the Bible shouldn't be taken as a timeline since there are epochs that could be a long pause in events or they could happen simultaneously. No one knows.
I personally believe that God made everything how it had to be. People say that you can date an atom's age. Well, I say if God didn't make some material older than other material, then we would all die of radioactive decay. I also believe that god put fossils on earth so we could use them in cars. It's a stretch but that's what I believe.
Insulting creationism is dumb but insulting the Bible is just FAIL in itself. "We can't make fun of people directly so we'll just make fun of a book that can't fight back." < Quote from Anti-Pastafarians.

LOL!! Boy it's been a while since someone had the sack big enough to stir the pot.

I am going to sit back for a bit and see how far this goes before I weigh in.

If you read more into this new fossil, the scientific community is really split as far as how closely related this thing is to apes/humans. Many scientists say that while this thing may be related, it's as far away as you can get.

scientists are split on global warming too. whatever the case evolution just makes sense. how much proof do you really need? its all over. you COULD say god made us evolve, but thats interpretation. if you can interpret one thing out of the bible you can interpret all of it.

Nah, like for the catrillionth time on this board evolution just doesn't make sense to me. It's all way too much theory and not enough solid evidence. That and I don't see how a mutated lemur's skeleton is a missing link, and definitely not enough evidence for me that we evolved from primates, let alone explain why something such as the big bang theory happen, or where the elements needed for the big bang to happen came from. This is pretty interesting though, I do look forward to what the scientist community makes of this as a whole, and if there are more.

He made us. That doesn't mean we came into life the way we are today.

thats an interpretation puncharger. i can interpret it any way i want now. when you make interpretations about the bible your not taking it (literally). which means you dont believe what happened IN the bible. cause now your breaking it down. oh it could mean this or that. you can believe in a deity if you so choose thats your prerogative but when bible pushers constantly hold back science and subdue the masses THATS when i have a problem. (not saying your subduing or forcing anyone to your point of view punchager but there are those that do.) there is stuff that ABSOLUTELY could not have happened and magic doesnt explain it away.

i dont have any sort of issues with people practicing their beliefs. but its the INSTITUTION that Catholicism is i have a problem with.
