speakers on PSP?

I notice that in the user manual points where the speakers or sound should be coming from. But on my PSP the speaker openings are not where they should on the manual. Meaning that my speakers are two small holes on the bottom of my unit and not on the face of the unit. Can anyone here verify where the sound is actually coming from? The way I know is I cover the speakers with my fingers and I know where I block the sound.

yeah, my speakers are also on the bottom of my unit.. if you do want to change the volume, all you have to do is hold down the - button next to volume!

I know how to increase or decrease the volume, but are you saying that if I hold another button the speakers will start to be heard on the front holes instead of the bottom holes? Please qlarify?

The reason why I spotted the misplacement of the speaker holes on my unit was because I bought a skin for it. The skin provided holes on the front side (thinking that is the place for the speakers--like what the user manual indicates), but I have always noticed that the sound is coming only from the bottom holes of the unit (in between the headphone and AC jacks)

Yes, you got it right. The speakers on the PSP's are at the bottom, If you use your thumbs or something to block the bottom 2 holes, the sound will be dim. Meaning it won't be soo loud. They said that they 2 speakers are on the from because basically, that's where the "speakers' are, but they shoot out sound though the bottom.

Someone should tell Game Stop about this. They made these rubber skins to protect your PSP and well, they created the tiny holes so the sound could feed through the front, but not the bottom where they really shoot the sound. So if you use the skins, it will be muffled, unless you rip a few holes on the bottom. See picture below: you will see that the created tiny hole openings. LOL!

i thought there were 4 speakers?? the 2 at the bottom and the 2 that are diagonal up from the start and home buttons

no, just put your finger over the bottoms ones like they said and try it out, the speakers are placed above the buttons, but come out on the bottom of the system...

I know, some guy gave it too me for gree. It was a green colour though. I was like, what?! Do they not know the speakers are shooting out through the bottom?! I just threw the thing out, but I used the screen protector that they give you..haha!
