Warning about upgrading.

Even though the rules say don't put this in caps i did because its important.


If you have ever updated your firmware not officialy by nintendo do not update through a disc it could cause a semi brick/full brick. You have been warned. Also the above is especialy true for wii sports resort as ive heard reports of it even trying to update on a 4.1 waninkoko wii.

true it can brick you if its not the correct region. its completely safe as long as you know what region you have and what region the disc is.

No. If you installed 4.1 from waninkoko then upgrade through wiisports it bricks.

i have 4.1 along with wii sports and no preloader right now and it doesn't ask you to update cause you already are.

So in a sense im thinking it asked him to update when he was already a higher firmware.

Just guessing, i know nowthing about wii's.

You probaly updated officialy, But i have seen this myself firsthand, if you have a official copy of wii sports resort, and put it into a 4.1 firmware waninkoko, It will ask you to update. If you do it will brick.
I was warning you, I don't want a meaningless discussion.

well i'm not sure what happened, i didn't update officially i haven't since like 3.2 or something

Scary... I think I'll stick with 3.2 as always.
