Looks like the bottom one has too many legs to be an arachnid, but either way, those are horrendous and Q is going to wake up with one in his bed tomorrow ;)

They are called camel spiders and they are REAL. They aren't poisonous but the hurt when they bite. These can only be found in Iraq. New Mexico has some but they aren't much bigger than a quarter.

Yeah I know what they are and what they're called but it looks like one has more than 8 legs.

My strategy for what happens when I come across one of those?? - Find Jesus.

I read up a little on them and it appears that, while they are called camel spiders, they are indeed not "Arachnids". They are "Solpugids" or "Solifugids" - go figure ;)

I read that they hide in the shadows and sometimes make a screaming noise when they walk/ run, but if you walk past a shadow, the Camel Spider may want to follow your shadow to stay out of the heat! Wouldn't that be crazy to just be walking around and have a huge Camel Spider following you just to stay in your shadow and all the time he's "screaming"?!?! hahaha

And I read they can run at 10mph also... pretty impressive.

Chicken? More like leopard if one of those gets near. I'd be gone.
