Security Is Heavy Nowadays

Hey Guys,
So A Couple Of Days Ago Me And My Friend/Filmer Decided To Go To The Local High School In Our Area To Skate A little bit. We Started Skating And We Came Across A 5 Set Of Stairs, We Decided To Get Some Footage. So I Ollie It A Couple Times When A Security Guard Comes Out And Says "Hey, Do U Guys Got A Permit To Be Doing This?!" I Then Responded By Saying "For What?" He Said "For Filming And Skating Here!?" I Said "We Dont. But We Would Like To Get More More Try In." He Said "Well If You Dont You Cant Film Or Skate Here. Besides Havent U Guys Seen The Sign?!" I Said "No." I Then Grabed my bag And Cameras. And Ollied Down The Stairs To Leave. I Was Shocked When The Next Thing I Heard Was "So Were Gonna Play This?!" I Then Hit The Ground With My eyes Shut. Once I Opened Them Again I Saw The Guard On Top And I Screamed At Him "Get Off Me Motherf*cker!" He Got Off And Said "Get The f**k Out of here" We Went out Front And Saw that There Was A Sign That Was A Very Small Sign Above The Front Stairs, its A Shame Because The Cameras Were In my bag So We Couldent Record. Altho Im Pretty Sure I Saw A Security Camera. So I May Take This f**k To Court As I Have 2 Brusis And A Cut On my Arm And Legs.

Well if there was a sign there and it wasn't your property then he had a right, you were trespassing / breaking the law that was put in place.

He specifically mentioned no skateboarding. Doesn't matter if you were getting on your board to leave, you got back on it. I used to skate back in the day, so believe me, I feel your pain. I almost got arrested just for skateboarding. The best thing you can do is just ask to use spots. There was one place me and my friend liked to go. It was at a store and out of the way of customers, so we just asked the store manager and he allowed us.

Don't expect respect if you aren't going to give it.

Still Even if There Is A Sign there Was No Reason To Tackle Me.

Police officer said dont skate. Sign said dont skate. You decided to. You get tackled. All is fair in my book.

Where was the sign saying he was to be subject to being tackled if he were to skate?... Ohhhhhh... I see... nowhere.

You see, just because a person owns a dog, and puts a "Beware Of Dog" sign on their property... doesn't make it "ok" for their dog to bite someone EVEN IF that person is trespassing. It's the owner of the dog's responsibility if his animal harms another person 9 out of 10 times and in this case... it's the building owner's responsibility if the "Security Man" tackles and roughs up a kid for skateboarding - even if he was on property with a sign that says "No Skateboarding".

Hell, there's been cases where burglars have gotten hurt trying to rob people but the burglars had gotten hurt on glass or falling down and had SUED the people they were trying to rob... and WON!!!

My point regarding the skateboarding incident is this - both are "in the wrong", but one person has more money than the other person... and thus, more to be afraid of, if you get what I'm saying.

Il be the first to tell you-

Someones on my property and isnt supposed to be..Il shoot him. No buts. I probably wont kill him..just shoot him in the leg. Hes a trespasser. I have a sign saying not to do it. He "Took a knowing risk"

Someone jumps over my fence and gets hurt by my dog- I dont give a crap. That was your stupid mistake.

And I totally disagree with

Yeah I've read a lot of stupid case decisions like that..

A thief is trying to steal the hubcaps or something off of another guy's truck and the guy doesn't know so he starts his truck and runs over the guys fingers, so the thief sues.

Anyways, it may not be right but there is a chance you could lose in court, which is bull.

I never said that the person intruding has the right to intrude, but merely that it wasn't ok for the dog to bite - which goes along with the idea that "it might not have been ok for someone to skateboard, but that doesn't mean it's ok for that person to be tackled". Cases like this are easily defended by 3 words, "I didn't know". If you are just a stupid kid skateboarding and didn't know you couldn't skateboard there, yet you got roughed up pretty badly, even though there's a sign you still have a pretty good case depending on how badly you were scuffed up or how badly you claim that incident hurt you emotionally. Signs don't always mean everything. I mean, you could have a ranch full of animals and have an electric fence bordering the property with signs that say, "electric fence, do not touch" every 25-50 feet, but if someone got hurt on YOUR property on YOUR fence, you'd be awfully surprised which side the courts will defend.

I'll tell you this though. If you plan on shooting someone that intrudes on your property - you're the one doing the hard time. Shot in the leg? - "assault with a deadly weapon" is about the minimum you will get, and you CAN kill someone by shooting them in the leg.

LOL I've been bit by quite a few pitbulls and never came even relatively close to dying. In fact, it's to the point that the next f**k pitbull better have nothing to lose if it bites me.

Just don't shoot them in the back, and I'm sure you won't just shoot someone that gets on your property, you'll make sure that they are up to no good right? :D
