Terrible Game flaw.

No not like achievements. In my opinion xbox achievements or PS3 trophies are completely pointless. I don't necessarily WANT people to know that I went through on this difficulty - finished that level - did it in a certain time. I mean, for some stuff it might be neat to say to your pals, "hey look, I did this the other day", but the entire idea of a gamer score or whatever is just pointless to me.

By leveling differently in CODMW2, I'm referring to stuff that I notice on a day-to-day basis as stuff that is improving and what-not. For instance, level 62 I unlocked the Desert Eagle. I'm a pistol fan and the magnum just isn't cutting it, so I grabbed up the D.Eagle. Get ten kills with it and you unlock the "attachment" for FMJ (Full Metal Jackets), so the gun does more damage and can pierce through thicker walls. Next will be "akimbo" so I can wield 2 D.Eagles - that kind of thing. And that's just with the pistol - you can level each gun and most attachments themselves on each gun to unlock more attachments to help assist in different perks which you can level up as well... and so on. Just a lot of stuff to do.

I love all the "leveling up" things they added in mw2, specifically pro perks and attachments for the secondary gun. I still like the maps from cod4 the best, but the main reason I love mw2 is because of the hundreds of combinations for your class. It's not like the past games where a handful of specific classes were used by people, I mean you barely pick up the same gun from two different enemies. Tons of attachments/secondary/equipment makes mw2 what it is. Now if they included some of the exact maps from cod4 then that would be one of my top games ever.

Also u-play supported games actually record some of your achievements in the game (like AC2) and gives you the same amount of points in which you can spend for in game items that actually benefit you in some way. So it is actually good to get the achievements because you can spend the points for say, a bigger knife belt in AC2, as well as spending the points in whatever u-play supported game you want to. So it's like you can finally spend your gamerscore now

Honestly I don't get it.

You play the online and do certain things (awful alot like achievements) to unlock stuff. (kinda like the halo 3 Armorz)

Yea Ace, if they made a map pack1 have some CoD 4 maps and a new map or 2 id buy it.

And let me try to explain it Halo Style to you Mr. Turtle-

Say you had the Battle Rifle. You got 10 kills with it. You get a grenade launcher. Then...you get 10 kills with the grenade launcher and you get a shotgun that mounts to the bottom of the Battle Rifle.

Well..you get 25 kills altogether you get a red dot site (helps you aim). Then a few more kills with it gives you a silencer.. you attach the silencer and get 10 kills and you get a thermal scope.

You cant have all of them on at once..but you can have 2. But having two attachments makes you lose a perk (perk 1 space in MW2).

adds a lot of customization to the game.

Dont worry. I used to HATE CoD when I played Halo daily. Me and Staxx were bored of Halo one day so we turned CoD on and i didnt know who to shoot and why I have 10-15 deaths my first game (used to 5-6 on gaylo). After I got used to where to camp and kill I got good at it..and I love it now. It takes time to grow on you.
