It depends the college may not have a laser cutter but if it has a graphics department it certainly should, i dnno realy because only certain things can be put into a laser cutter.

I have transfered the Image to The Case, now i just need to figure out how to cut it all out. since dremel may be to dangerous for the small edges. Now i am not very artistic. so its not PERFECT but for my first Case MOD i dont think its to shabby.

Very, very nice.
I'd like to suggest that you give it a nice and light repaint to cover the lines you're going to cut over. Since it is your first case-mod, you may or may not cut directly along the line.

yeah i am going to cut inward from the line a bit. just to add space i may need. then i would like to do a light sand with high grain to smooth it out. and do a flat black paint for the whole case.

waht do you think would be a good tool to do the cutting???

Don't cut on the lines, especially for your first mod. I haven't done much "modding" in this sense with consoles (the PC is a completely different story) but understand that you can only cut once, and it HAS to be perfect. There are no re-do's.

going what DPM said, practice is perfect so personaly i would suggest you practice cutting on something else first to perfect your cutting skills.

Of course he's going to do some practice cutting! And of course he'll know to cut some stuff of similar texture and composition!
You should use a carver that your school may have. It's a big, precise machine that you can make a picture on the computer and it'll cut the shape out of things like wood or plastic. Most schools have them. I know my middle school had one.

lol, I would NEVER recommend doing this job with an xacto. You'd need to file things down and even then you wouldn't be able to get a small enough round file to do the job.
