I vote yes.
If a person is born with being gay, then he/she can't help it.
If God didn't want people to marry gay, then why did he let them be gay in the first place?

My opinion.... Why do we care? its their life! and BTW not all gay people are Christians so your sayings about the bible wouldn't be valid to them.. I am a Muslim, and if I ever see a Gay Muslim I would try to show him that being Gay isn't allowed in my religion in a way that wouldn't harm him!

BTW how many of u have heard the story of "Lut"(Lot) ?

I read your posts. . .

Well, such a lengthy topic this was. Took me 35 minutes for me to read all of your wonderful articulations and speculations on this view.
So here's my 2 cents: I voted "I don't care" because they're allowed to do what they wish.
Regardless whether you believe in God or or not, you've been given free will.

You have been allowed to practice this free will which was give to you in any form. Do what you want. That simple.
Just know, your actions always come with a type of consequence.

Have a nice day.

@ Tyler ~ I try not to be insensitive, I really do. I'm not sympathetic of Atheists/ Agnostics who get the underhand in a debate against Christians just because I align myself more closely with their beliefs just as I wouldn't side with a Christian that doesn't prove their points when debating people of other beliefs. However, I also don't expect Christians to ever really bring out supporting evidence and list it out like... "I think this way because 'x' in the year 'xxxx' etc." and bullet point their reasonings. I've debated many, many Christians and there's never a winner. To "win" a debate with someone of any faith you have to get them to not believe anymore, which is hard because most people of faith find their willingness to accept religious doctrines first-hand without listening to others makes them more faithful, and thus, a better Christian.

@ Ace ~ I want to know how me stating historical evidence is rude because Christians disagree with it but it's not rude for Christians to say I'm wrong without supporting any evidence of their own. And here's the kicker. There isn't as much evidence for Christians as there are non-believers and it's unfair to Christians to be put in a position to defend their faith - but I'm not the one forcing Christians to post in a gay marriage thread in the first place, I'm just one other person that has an opinion and lots of ways to back it up. I'm wrong. Christians are wrong. Everyone is wrong to someone else who believes otherwise and that's perfectly ok, but I'm not being a jerk about it. To call me a jerk while providing very little to your own point is more rude, in my opinion, but may not be rude from your point of view. I don't, however, appreciate being ridiculed about posting in religious debate threads for an approach that Christians do not support... otherwise there's no debate in the first place.

My additional points:

The fortunate thing is that Christians can say, "I have faith in my Lord and the teachings I've been raised to acknowledge and my conviction is greater than any who stand in my way saying otherwise because anyone saying otherwise must be a work of the Devil himself trying to pry away my attachment to my faith". That's what most Christians that I've met respond with, because when I've gone to my church (yes I have one: Lakeview Baptist Church) that's the kind of response I receive from the older folks that have been literally doing their study-work on the Bible and the teachings of God daily and partake in Bible study on scheduled days at the Church. In no way am I insinuating that anyone here is not a true Christian by me mentioning that either, just so we're clear. I, at a time in my life, was a Christian myself and sometimes question if real events are truly divine intervention or not to this day even though I align myself with a more Agnostic approach. Heck, I'd even gone to church the last 3 weekends in a row and helped with a food drive one of the Wednesday's within the last week or so. To say I'm insensitive towards the Christian faith is completely inaccurate when I am, in my own way, helping to excel the Christian spirit in my own community while I don't even align myself with that belief pattern. I contribute from time to time because there are really good people at my Church and their cause, as good humans, deserves to be noted no matter how ignorant I think they are.

I have a question :

This debate was supposed to be opinion-wise so how on earth did it turn into a Religions' debate?

An opinion can never be wrong whatsoever, its what someone or something thinks about something else.. THATS IT!

It borders on the lines of religious debate for obvious reasons. Most people, regarding this certain issue, align their opinion itself with the faith that they've been raised to believe. It is for that reason, and also perhaps my complete and passionate hate for the "Adam and Steve" comments that made me even want to share my opinion. I just happened to back my opinion up with historical fact and that's caused some ripples in the water since everyone doesn't completely agree with one another.

God actually "did" make "Adam and Steve", in the way that Adam and Eve themselves were not originally intended to reproduce anyways. The "natural" way, as made by God, clearly shows in the Bible that Eve had been punished with having to carry the burden of childbirth. Que mentioned this, but it's important to realize just how powerful that little bit is because if you are a person of Christian faith and you go around saying, "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve", you're sending RED FLAGS to people that have based their opinions from research and not faith...

EDIT

Q is just trying to find out where this point is coming from. I myself am unfamiliar with any passage in the bible that says it's not a real love between gays, but there are certain passages which actually glorify, if you will, gay love. One, mentioned in this thread already, speaks of how gay lovers might love one another more than a man and woman could. I'm interested in where BKF read that as well merely because nobody ever cites the scripture that they mention, but instead just say, "it's in the Bible." I'm also not saying that BKF is doing that either. I'm just literally interested in what scripture that came from if he mentions it's in the Bible.
