haha, I was talking about my monitor... My laptop was fine, till the hard disk died! Only Ubuntu's "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer" feature works.. XP(installs till 94%), Vista(58%)

Yeah, sorry if it's hard to tell by my post, but I was referring to my laptop when I said, "at least it turns on" because mine actually doesn't turn on anymore. Like, I can hit the power button but NOTHING happens aside from a light coming on and the graphics card fan powering up (in low). It doesn't ever even hit the POST screen because the fan doesn't kick up to speed and the beautiful 17" 1440x900 monitor just doesn't turn on at all .

I'm thinking I could probably scrap up that monitor and use it for something amazing though.... like a custom 360 laptop or something "Ben Heck" style. (guy who mods stuff).
