Connection and servers matter much much more than RAM

Experience in what? Online gaming? The Xbox had online. And the 360 has been online longer than the PS3 because it came out first. MS has plenty of experience. Plus it is basically like a PC and they have dabbled in that just a little bit :P.

Both systems can have occasional problems, but both also can run extremely well online.

Sony has been doing electronics since......... forever. so they have "experience" in doing such a thing.

Microsoft has been making sh*tty Os;s since..... the 70s. so they decide to launch into a game system?

Nintendo is like the father of game systems, so im not going there.

also, notice that there has been remakes- versions- of their consoles to improve them

lets see- playstation/PS1, PS2 phat/slim, PSP phat/Slim/3k/GO, and PS3 (old, mid with no emotion engine, Slim)

MS has...... xbox, and xbox 360. 360 has 3 versions. normal- pro (HDMI)- and elite. thats IT? nothing to help tha things that are wrong? there really should have been a xbox slim or something, serious.

What does having a lot of different models have to do with online play? There's the PSP, PS2, and PS3. And the PSP has nothing to do with PS3 online play. The PS2's online wasn't quite top notch either.

You forgot to mention that the 360 requires at least 10 add-ons to play games and a subscription to Live to update your firmware which all costs money.
You also didn't mention Nintendo and their 50 gimmicks of the last 3-4 years.

@ Crait

If you bought a 360 right now there wouldnt be anything stopping you from playing a game and going online. It comes with a controller and a Live subscription and even Ethernet cord.

@Airplanes

They only thing I see in the PS3 revisions is going backwards... I mean they took out the Ps2 compatibility. What did they add? Also the 360 has had revisions in its chip sets. So thats wrong too. Why do you want a Slim system? Im just fine with my 360. And thats just another way sony makes money. they release a console and then slim 2-4 years later.

It's like a 14 day trial. I would get a PS3 for the same price and have free online forever.

I don't quite understand. You don't pay anything for the PSN yet you get everything Live has and more.

I kinda agree with crait on this one.
I really really really hate the fact you gotta pay for the live membership.
However its the only console that has Halo 3 on it.........so........life sucks eh.
