The answer to your question, Mailas, is quite simple. Deth, airplanes, in fact, anyone that expresses discontent with the current staff members that has posted in this thread besides perhaps yourself has virtually no experience with any former staff members to begin with. How can they say "it was better back then" when they don't even know what "back then" was? You know how long ago you have to look back to when monkeymaximus posted frequently? It was during the first couple months the site was open and that's pretty much it. How can people say "it was better when he was leader" when almost NOBODY, including myself, was around at that point in time?

Now, for those few of you who may remember a hint of what things were like "back then", you may be thinking of .Vault and shadox as the administrators. Those guys, who were good staff members, eventually got to the point where they only got on once a week. But you want to know the funny thing? Even though I was just a moderator of the help sections at the time, I was appointing who the staff members were going to be directly to Nik because Nik found me on another website and wanted my expert opinion with the PSP to come in here and help reshape his forum. He contacted me and asked me to come be an administrator here before I ever even had an account here. Is that fair? No, so I said "no" and told him to make me a moderator of just the help sections so I could show that I deserved to be on staff. The "old" staff that most cats may remember is just older staff that I was still running behind the scenes and the REALLY old staff members who remember you, Mailas, quite fondly, hated you so much that part of shadox's reasoning for leaving when I asked him was "Mailas Gonrai".

Are you assuming those staff members were "better" just because they gave you an administrative position? Because .Vault gave you that, if I remember correctly, because he "didn't feel like listening to him b**ch about it any longer". So, does that make him a better admin than me? After you lost your staff position/ power I still went and gave you moderator AGAIN here to help me by training my current staff that I've picked out to be moderators (since you'd been one in the past). You were also tasked with teaching ace how to post news, and I taught BKF.

Bottom line: If I think my current staff is great, and you think that they aren't, maybe you should consider that it was YOU WHO TRAINED THEM from the start... so this all comes back to you hating yourself for your own actions (or inactions) which led you to believe what you believe about the current staff. Aside from picking ace and BKF, I had very little to do in their training aside from going over policy issues with them and teaching BKF the news tool.

Death, everyone stop complaining, what the staff yes im saying staff as them all are backing up DPM which includes me aswell, Just put yourself in in his shoes, would you take getting insulted repeated amount of times, imagine, your helping someone who all the staff want OUT badly, yet you being nice are giving that person a chance, basicly saying to all the staff "Talk to the hand but the face isn't listening" letting Airplanes stand by giving them a chance even though the whole team want him out out out,
then after awhile of a year or two defending his donkey, he barks like a dog and bikes that hand that feeds him so much that it forces DPM to reconsider and permantly ban him. I know if i was DPM i would do the same, im arugueing so you lot stop giving him sh*t. the good of the Forum is whats in his and the staffs best interest. are list a few arguements:

3. "if you werent, do the whole "run the iso" thing" if the user doesn't know what he is talking about, how in hell will he know about "Run the iso thing" im sure Brent knows about this as he is experienced in wii hacking as i can safely say, i am.
FYI, he means installing a custom input output system file, using a ISO loader such as e.g Configurable loader, and then running it and seeing what errors he gets, how is this helping the user without explaining the whole in thing.

you continously say about DPM being "corrupt admin" technicaly if he wasn't corrupt that would mean he would have to ban you now because he completly disregarded a staff vote, about keeping you banned and unbanned you just because he was trying to be nice, 2. Your complaining about the staff being bad, you have only your self to blame you trained them, thats why DPM removed your access then gave you moderate to train BKF and Ace, *nice work btw they are great mods*
(i so hope DPM becomes uncorrupt btw and bans you )

Randomly adding - i got it from a permant ban to a 1 year ban for Airplanes, you may not think that was much but Mailas was banned for nearly 2 years.

DPM when everyone was against him wanting him banned, DPM said no we will give him a chance did he not?
i can stay here and give you thousands of reasons why the staff are great they are better then your average staff infact, i would know this because im staff in other forums, Irc channels, even a server and what not but that doesnt matter.
Basicly, you guys don't know how good you have it in this forum, Airplanes deserved what he got i may not agree on it being Permant but i got it to a year you may not see that as fair but its alot fairer then permnant.

Also the staff are leaniant, if you break a rule they will maybe just edit your post delete it wont even give you a warning and their just completely dis regard it, and move on, they only come in once you have gone haywire. which is a good thing, imo.

After having a long talk with DPM I can say to blame myself that complaining against them wasn't
doing anything or improving on anything.

Hopefully everyone else will come to notice this too, and try to help as much as they can to improve the site.

I felt that Mailas and I had a fruitful discussion about the way things need to proceed in the forum for the time being. I'd encourage any members that are unsatisfied to either leave or wait until we are able to get the ball rolling again. But for now, this topic will be locked and any appeal for it to be opened or another thread to replace it should be sent directly to me personally via private message. This topic will also be removed after 24 hours to the staff section of the forums for filing this incident.
