As impressive as that post is only the above is relevant because I specifically mentioned examples of monuments not quotes from past leaders. Leaders always say what needs to be heard.

So that is one example and it is a huge copy of an Egyptian design.

It is said that The Washington Monument is 555 feet in visible height (6,660 inches). Not sounding very Christian now is it?

visible hight? it is 555 feet 5⅛ inches tall. do your math again. when proving a point, dont round, unless its necessary.

are you freaking kidding. that is the stupidist thing i have ever seen here. the Beast "number" is 666 not 6.660. thats like going to the store and your total being 76.66 ans saying its the number cuz there are 3 sixes. ist 666 ans thats it. not mixed with other numbers in a row. WOW just WOW

I hear all the time well thats the prob with christians. you know what. AT least i have something to believe in. something to strive for. SOmething to get me thru the days that are absolute hell. I believe that i get to go somewhere wen i die. How can you not believe in anything? how can you think you just die wen you die? Why is your goal to prove other "religions" wrong? I dont get it.

This is now about "god being taken out of America". I am questioning which god that may be, and if it's the one you are thinking of, was he ever there to begin with?

I will concede my post about the monument height. I admit it was a stretch at best but at least some of you bothered to challenge me on it (I appreciate that). The fact still remains that The Washington Monument is of unmistakable Egyptian design.

Both the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials along with other federal buildings including the capitol are examples of Greco-Roman temples.

The first floor of the capitol building is called the crypt, an odd name for a place that doesn't serve a funerary purpose don't you think?

The pentagon is the center of an inverted pentagram that points to magnetic south. A pentagram is a symbol associated with occult/pagan beliefs not Christian beliefs.

All I am trying to say without giving long exhaustive examples is that I know not of a single Christian influence in the design of the nation's capital. There are more pagan examples in the nation's capitol than in any other place I know. So if Christ isn't the inspiration then what is?
I wonder what the inspiration for this odd statue could have been...

And I dont know how else to get it through your head that the "God" on every dollor in America, as well as the true Pledge of Allegiance is the Christian God since you dont take every founding father and many MANY presidents since are saying it.

No offense but the same can be said by people trying to prove their religions correct.
Implying that other religions are false, being as 2 religions would really contradict each other.

I am not saying George Washington is the devil. I am sure he was dead when the statue was made. I doubt George ever wore a toga or a robe whatever he is wearing and I doubt he ever handled a sword like the one pictured. You don't have to agree with my comparison but can we agree that it is an odd sort of statue to represent an American president? Can we agree to that?

It isn't just one statue that looks out of place or one monument it is many monuments and buildings that look out of place.

If this nation really was inspired by Christianity then it sure doesn't show it. It didn't show it back then and I don't think it shows it much under the surface now.
