@Que:
Well, if you are reading a book, and something in the book is similar to something else, like an allusion, and that same allusion is made later on, and again, later on. Then you'd have a reason to wonder if there is any connection. You're just randomly associating things that look like they're similar or possibly related. You connect 'sun' and 'son', the birthday of Jesus and the winter solstice, and now this statue. These are a few examples of how you try to connect two things that are unlike. The things you're trying to connect don't really relate to each other so when you say that 'it keeps happening' it actually doesn't because it's just separate instances. If all of these things that you're relating had a central idea, like books have, then I'd understand your viewpoint but I believe that your posts lately have ranged from weird to crazy.

@ crait.
I'm not reading a book, I am looking at the world around me.

I see patterns and I share them with you. You don't have to agree with me I am just showing you this seems connected and it is ironic that they do such as Jesus ministry following the sun going through the zodiac (You are probably going to really hate my post for next month).

I suppose my posts seem crazy to you because you haven't looked into it yourself with an open mind you only go by what others tell you or what is commonly accepted.

I have stated many times that no one is obligated to read my posts and until I get shut down I will share what I have discovered. I will explain my findings as best I can but I will never condemn anyone for disagreeing with me.

Fact is that No one living today can say for sure that anything happened one way or another, we just try to put it together as best as we can from our perspective.

The common view isn't always the correct one. I think we can agree to that. If you don't understand then read Arthur Conan Doyle sometime.

I am not sure which translation of the bible you prefer but one example I can offer is how the commonly accepted King James Version has a few mistranslations.

That version of the bible was written from the 1550 version of the Greek "Textus Receptus" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Textus_Receptus at a time when people did not have a good grasp of Greek or English so the translators did the best that they could. In other words it is mistranslated in a few areas.

Allow me to respectfully demonstrate:

Matthew 13:40 "As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world."

In this passage (as with many but not all) we assume the word "world" to mean earth, the planet. This is not correct. If we were to do a little research and figure out exactly what was said we would learn that the word "world" was translated from the greek word "aion". Aion does not mean world it means "period of time or age".

In modern English "aion" is spelled aeon http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/aeon.

So you see the world isn't going to end. Only the age will end and at which point we will enter a "NEW AGE" I am sure we are all familiar with that phrase. We are currently in the age of Pisces. We will enter the age of Aquarius in say 3 or 400 years. So I guess there is still time. For what? I don't know.

You know Que, sometimes I just sit back and laugh at your assumptions. This is one of those times.

Especially with you assuming none of us have went back and looked at our facts and just keep saying were going by what other people have told us...when we bring the facts and where we found them ourselves and you keep going on like we said nothing.

Also, I HIGHLY doubt that the people who translated the bible made these errors you speak of and "did not have a good grasp on Greek and English". They didnt let a little boy in his third year of English translate the bible like your pointing out.

What makes you so sure? Share some history on the topic then explain why the seemingly misplaced words are there. I as well as others would like to know.

It is a sacred book so they had the best scholars translating it. They didnt let anyone else do it. This reason alone leads me to believe the words are correct.

Now, there are words used now that mean something different then they used to. You can probably think of a few right off your head. I cant tell you what some of them meant 50 years ago much less 500 years ago.

Qué, I understand that you're just staying things that you find interesting but these aren't patterns. A pattern is like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. You're finding things like 2, 4, a, m, racoon, dog, carrot, parrot. Yeah, there are pairs of ironically similar things, but not all of the similar pairs are related so it's not a pattern. It's random things that seem to connect... How does George Washington's statue that resembles the Devil relate to the birthday of Jesus not being on his actual birthday? Tell me how that relationship relates to proof that Christianity is wrong. Tell me how that relation keeps happening over and over again like you said it did. You can't if there isn't a relation but if you see the truth behind it and the thing that connects these two, then please enlighten us.
I have to agree with BFK when he says that it's dumb thAt you say we haven't looked into this when we have or you don't know if we have or not. Just because we don't have the same viewpoint as you, doesn't mean we don't research. We could easily say that you don't do enough research becaus you don't have the same viewpoint as us.

Well everything else aside, I think it stands that the word aeon means a period of time and not world.

If you disagree then prove to me otherwise.

People thought the world was flat for a long time and "discovered" that it wasn't.

Actually, a lot of people knew it was round for a very, very long time. They saw Earth's shadow on the moon. ;)

But I digress, I've set my ambitions on finding out hoe the two things I mentioned relate.

I'm sure he meant "blooming" but that would have been too strong a word. Blimmen isn't much nicer tho.
