While this forum isn't a very good example at all, your still only 24 yourself brent, only a few years older then an "immature teenager". I know a few people that have had to live very "rigorous" lives compared to some of us (not all), and while they are only 18 or 19 they are more mature then some people will ever be. Age shouldn't dictate your maturity level in my opinion, and is no worse then sexism, racism, or any other ism.
Either way compared to any of our seniors we are all still children :p

I think age does determine a maturity level at face value but doesn't "dictate" it, like you say, ace. Although age represents a general idea and determines how much knowledge someone should have collected and experiences they should have had, age alone doesn't make someone "immature". +3 Gold stars.

Even though i'll be 25 in 13 days, i'll just go ahead and say I'm 24 for the sake of argument.
Yes, there is not a large gap between 19 and 24, or 19 and 25 for that matter, it is more than "a few years". That's a 5 and 6 year difference buddy. But let's look at that gap and compare it to gaps at other ages.
I would say there is a HUGE difference between the 19-24 gap and maybe 16-21 or 15-20. So while age in itself is not a big determining factor, taking into account the amount of life that is lived between 20-25 begins to really separate the two sides. And no, age doesn't mean a direct correlation to maturity. However, I think that tend to mean there are many immature older people than there are mature younger people. At younger ages there is just so much you have yet to experience and decision making skills aren't necessarily up to par.

i agree partially with both of you.. it's really all about experience, but experience comes with age, so both arguments are valid. but it sometimes happens that people gain lots of experience at a younger age (meaning work/actual life lessons/life changing events), which is what ace/dpm seem to be hitting at, but speaking of many people here, that doesn't seem to be the case.
