You think being homosexual is a mental illness. I'm showing you that you would do the same thing because of love, and not because you are mentally ill. There is a distinction between the two subjects that you are talking about. You need to realize that. You even said you would marry a woman if you loved her. You would marry a man if you loved him just as much.

One of the ways I look at it, is that if there are males and females on this earth then why would it be okay for two people of the same sex to get married? I somewhat agree with que, and I guess you could relate the tradition reason with my religious reasons, but yea I suppose homosexuality could be a mental illness. To me, it certainly isn't normal. Besides, whenever you assess a situation you HAVE to look at all of the variables involved. You can't be narrow minded if you expect to solve a problem, it just isn't realistic.

So yea, for religious reasons, along with tradition and observation I certainly don't think it's right, but I suppose it is plausible that homosexuality could be a mental disorder. I certainly don't see how anyone on this board could say without a doubt it isn't, unless we have some psychology and neurological conditions majors here that I don't know about.

I don't think it's wrong; Personally I could care less what other people are into. I also don't see why it is such a problem, as long as the gays don't grab my donkey, or try and convert me, it's none of my business. As for the military, I've taken showers in the desert where all you have to wash off is a towel and a bucket of water, I really don't want some dude peeking at my weenie as I'm trying to get the job done. I don't think ANY Love/Sexuality should be shown in the military, be it straight, or gay. It's a job, and unless you're stationed somewhere, it doesn't need to be shown.

Which stereotype would be most reflective of a majority of homosexuals? Would it be the artsy designer, stylists, carefree, effeminate personality or would it be those that are continuously arrested in public parks for lewd behavior, those who seek trysts with strangers in public toilets(Larry Craig), or the range of [sadists] from the ilks of Jeffrey Dahmer and Dean Corll to the homosexual priests?

The homosexual identity it self is a mental illness and those like Kagan who champion such an aversion to nature are actually promoting a mental illness.

I agree with Que you all (except few) are missing what is trying to be said, by letting you foolish minds take over and run amok, because you dont want to listen and think of POSSIBILITIES. You just always have to be right.

DONT say "its love" There are chemicals in the head for love. there are so many mental illnesses out threre. ADD is one. Do you believe its mental/ Chemical unbalance? or do you believe the kid or person just doesn't want to pay attention?

Now why cant Homosexuality be the same? What if there is an chemical unbalance that is off and makes you attracted to the same sex? Why would it be a crime to make a medication for that.

They DO NOT deserve all this attention just because they want to feel good. all they do is shove it in our face that there gay and try to make us accept it.

@crait Laws are being changed for them. Marriage has always been Between a man and woman. It was NEVER between man & man, Woman & woman. so there is nothing for it to go back to what it was.

I dont hate Gays at all. they are Very nice people (the calm not in your face about it ones) and are funny. I have a gay uncle. but I stick to my beliefs. I am sick of them being defended and put on a pedestal.


Them wanting things to change because there gay is stupid. thats like hackers making lawsuites agains Game companies trying to force them to give into piracy and system hacking/modding......ITS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! So why is this different?

i honestly could care less. maybe it is a disorder, doesnt mean im going to treat them as if they arent human.
