I haven't been in the Pokemon business for quite a while. I buy and sell Pokemon cards almost daily while I'm at work, but there's really only a few of them that are worth serious money. There's some Japanese promos, some from vending machines, that are really, really rare. There is also the Pokemon "Illustrator" cards given out at Japanese tournaments, which sell for several thousands usually, but I've never even seen one.

I think the easiest way to make some decent money off of Pokemon is to get your hands on a bunch of the misprint Pikachu cards. Pikachu has yellow cheeks, but this one is supposed to have yellow/orange cheeks and instead has red. For it's time, it was a misprint, but it's worth about $5-10. They're easy to get your hands on though.

oh the joys of TCGs and getting that really rare card in a booster pack i remember my old MTG days fondly pullign not only Akroma but Phage out of the same booster pack was epic (last time i checked they were both still selling for $20 a pop but that was a few years ago before they changed to hte new planeswalkers style of play)

I was pissed at my mom....I had a Japanese Snorlax...hand drawn but an official card...that I wish I could have seen how much it would have went for.

All 151 (besides maybe Pigeotto?..my cousin always bragged he had it and I didnt) pokemon. Duplicate of some. Most of the 2nd generation. Some of the 3rd.

Anyway some kid got it for...$3 bucks in a yard sell.

I remember one Christmas getting a bunch of packs of Pokemon cards, and I opened them all. As I opened all of them I must have gotten 5 holo dittos unreal.
