Prince of Persia movie gets screenwriter

For those who wanted a game based movie, heres one for ya.

Nearly two years after it was first revealed, it appears the Prince of Persia movie is moving forward. Respected underground film-news Web site Dark Horizons is reporting that screenwriter Jeffrey Nachmanoff has signed on to the project, which is being produced by Hollywood uberproducer Jerry Bruckheimer. Besides the 1993 short The Big Gig, Nachmanoff's sole screenwriting credit is the 2004 eco-disaster film The Day After Tomorrow, directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, the 1998 Godzilla remake). No release date for the big-screen adaptation of the Ubisoft action-platformer has been set, and no actors or director have signed on to the project.

hey don judge it so quick man,, the storyline can be made great... there's enough twists and turns in the story to make a good movie.... they'll need to get in some mega stunts and stuff and make excellent fight sequences... i bet the movie;ll sport a emotional angle (hope not as much as spiderman1/2) w.r.t his girlfriend... but i think it may turn out to be a good movie overall

Or it could end up like the first final fantasy movie lol... That was possibly the worst movie ever.

i think based on the 3 current storyline they have for the 3 games the movie wouldn't be too bad, its a great storyline to work with and add to.

well, the first final fantasy movie wasnt all that bad. The reason why people say its bad is because they used the final fantasy name. And People expected the movie to be like the games. But if they didnt use the name final fantasy, then mayb the people will have a different view on the movie.

But as for P.O.P movie, is it casting with real actors? or CG characters?

no news on that yet, the only thing we know at the moment is, its getting a ScreenWritier.

but according to this comment "No release date for the big-screen adaptation of the Ubisoft action-platformer has been set, and no actors or director have signed on to the project." its a real life movie, not CG like Final Fantasy
