The only way that xbox is good is by modding it...I know that you gota install a mod chip though

no you can just use a softmod you just install linux on xbox

can someone show me how to put LINUX on ur xbox !!! and jjgamer only way by makin a xbox good is by modding it... dude its 3 times better specs then the gamecube.... and if u go into stores u see theres actualy more games out on the actual original xbox (not 360) then there is gamecube and nintendo hasnt even realesed the revolution yet thats sad...

(actualy in australia gc, ds, and gba all are on the 1 small shelf...)

what the difference in fuction with the hard mod and soft mod

Hardmod: when you modify the hardwareof your xbox. (like installing a modchip) though you may get more power out of ur xbox you have a better chance of bricking it or getting a blackbox (as some call it).

Softmod: this is when you only modify the software in your xbox. you can do almost the exact same thing but you dont actually open ur xbox to put s**t into it. (no modchips) you simply download into ur xbox! (this is what i recommend if you are just beginning and are not sure if you like modding yet. and this can easly be undone)
