Nope. Not at all. If they are able to hack them, Sony gets disturbed, start bringing in more stuff that most people are more likely to play such as homebrew (not emulators, ever!) and apps and other things.

I've seen a lot of these things around... and I'll believe things when I see it with my own 2 eyes.

Well you can go to google and type in 3.0 pictures for PSP and see what comes up, or go to pspupdates and look.
Those are two of your best options.

Or I can just wait for the actual 3.00 firmware to come out and look at it that way... that way, everything isn't so fake.

I wouldn't when it comes out if I were you. The apps that sony uses can easily be made into homebrew, and plus, maybe you should get someoen you might know first to get a video or get images of the 3.00 firmware and see what you think then.

why does sony give a rats donkey about running homebrew. you can do it on xbox and every other system and they dont send out updates to stop it!
why does sony care, if anything they should embrace the fact that people like their system and they dont have to do as much work

god what is their problem?

Sony cares because some are emulators!!! Which run ROMS, which were made by OTHER COMPANIES including Sony,
Nintendo, Square, Heroinex, Capcom etc. and if they get run on Sony PSP systems,
sony gets blamed, sony gets pissed, and other companies want their games to be sold not given away for free on Euorpean internet!!!
And homebrew, Sony doesn't care at all for all I know, why would there be a game section anyways?

The only things I have seen sony bring out in the Game Section is Upgrades because people keep using
emulators!! Ofcourse Sony knows that people are going to figure out a way to
put homebrew and apps on their PSP, but emulators?
So to wrap this up, SONY, IS, PISSED.
