mem stick dead?

well maybe its not used for formatting.I guess its that u bought a used mem stick and the guy hu had it must of done something to it.

I bought the memory stick(266mb) from...well I didnt buy it, brother gave it for me for my birthday. So yeah, it was brand new and everything, like the 32mb you get...it's not really 32 its 30. and i unno about everything else but its not as that much MB as it says it should be...which is realllllly wierd.

sony can really copyright stuff that already has stuff on it.But the 32 MB mem stick has 32 MB.But those ur mem stick when u bought it say it has how many mem sticks it should have?Cuz if not it probably has been formatted, some hobo has done something to it if its used (correct me if im wrong) or it already has some stuff on it u cant get off.

my 1 gig only gives me 940 mb so i think its jsut the setings on the memory stick to allow it to run but losing 60 mb

see i told you...and i bet you got this brand new right dodge? see, why is sony magic gate doing this...? shouldnt it say something like not a gig but like that certin mb or gig?

go to settings use format.And beleive me man, 940 mb is realyl high.Accept it.

i understand what psp means ive got a 1 gig memory stick but only get 940 mb prob settings or sutmhing but 60 mb gone

well the space that its using is used for drivers (so psp psp sees that its there), formating, and caching. If you get on the web with your psp it cachs cookies (temporaraly) on the mem stick.

Also, the bigger the stick the more it uses the date that u cant access. It uses the space that u see gone for all that above ^ and to store a table of contents of all the stuff that u have. So, the bigger the stick, the bigger the tob will be. Same thing for hard drives and cds.

go to ebay 60 pound including delivery in dollars i think that would be erm around 90 not sure
