MY PSP....BUSTED!!!!

sh*t!!! I BUSTED UP MY PSP!!! I WAS RUNNING WITH MY PSP IN MY HAND, AND IT SLIPPED OUT OF ITS CASE AND GOT RUN OVER BY A CAR!!! I SWEAR I AM NOT LYING, AND IT GOT COMEPLETLY BROKEN... and now i have to send it in to sony and they wil send me one back....do u think it will be version 1.51 or 52 or 20?...i cannot beleive this happend... anyways do u think i will be able to get a 1.50? ........

(NOTE: i might not reply for a while cuz i am on trip right now)

dude that seriously seriously sucks. I just want through a pretty bad situation a couple days ago that i had to reload windows and a pc shop (i didnt have the cd) and they charged 187$ and they erased 2gigs of music 3gig if vid. including star wars3.

Anyways they give you 2.00 fo sho. Because chances are they have the 2.00 motherboard for it in stock and chances are urs mite be busted and of not they upgrade for u.

ahh! sh*t man! that's horrible...well, It is august right? they did say something abour confirming stuff with europe...uhh...they didn't say anything about the states. So im pretty sure you will STILL have the 1.50...that is though...if you're lucky...haha.Nah, you will forsure get the 1.50.

It's very doubtful Sony will give you a 1.5. It'll most likely be the current version which is 1.52. Don't get you're hopes up.

Man, do you think we would beleive that you are getting a replacement for a PSP that got ran over by a car and smashed to bits ? Nice one , try to think of something of value to post next time.

if it did get ran over...i dont think you can get a replacement..casue it wasnt the systems fault..it was yours. So i dont think you can get a new one..unless you pay full price.

ok simple fact is-- YOU WILL NOT GET ANOTHER PSP--- there is no way sony will give u another one wil a freak accident like that -- and seriously what in the heck were u doing running with your psp for music? buy small flash mp3 player!!! hope u learned your lesson =/

Its a tough lesson to learn, but yeah, your are screwed man, unless you can convince Sony that your psp imploded due to overheation causing immense structural damage to the the casing, screen, and buttons and also leaving what looked suspisiously like tire tracks engraved in the crushed case, your screwed...

and now that's out of the way ... umm yes i AM getting a new psp system, and it DID get run over but there are not racks (thank god) and it is NOT smashed to bits...oddly enough. it still works fine its just that when i turn on my psp the screen at the top is all black. and everything else works fine. oh yeah and sony WILL replace it cuz i told them we left it on the charge for a week and it got screwed up from over charging (they bought it hahah) . and even when i do send it there, and they see that its busted they wont care cuz they are busy ppl. they will most likely not even look inside and just send it to the garbage pile of PSP's and just send me over a new one. and justin, i think u are right about me getting a 1.52... but there IS chance of me getting a 1.50 but they are really small chances...too bad... and i was running cuz i was trying to catch up to my bus and i didnt have time to put it away. and LMAO daopoly when i read about what u said about DS i sh*t my pants good one

PSP_Man has a good point and so do all of you.

Here is my take. If there isnt alot of external physical damage they will take it. If there is.... it may have been postage! haha. So there is a good chance they will take it regardless of its condition if they give him RMA.

Once it leaves his hands and goes into postage... they cant hold him responsible for what happens.

Now for the version. 99% of companies will do updates before shipping a product. Thus the version you will get will be the latest as of a week before the ship date.

ok so umm yeah monkey i think that they WILL send me a higher version besides 1.50. i see where your coming from on this and its a good theory...but would they really stop and take out the psp and turn it on and connect and update it and wait and do all that sh*t?...unless they have like a machine that does that, or when they make the psp it is already update iot. i DOUBT they will update it manually cuz u need to charge the battery first as well....what do u think?

they are gonna send you another PSP. If its refurbed than it will be up to date because they update it before they pack it.

if its new and its right off the line it will be 1.52 because thats what there making.

Basically i dont think Sony has any more 1.50 in stock that they would be sending out... if that makes sense.

well, from where i'm standing and as im readin, I think that if by chance psp_man, if you get the firmware 1.52 or 1.52, i suggest you move right on to the 2.0. 2.0 is pretty much the same as 1.51 and so on..but theres the net. Well, lets just hope you get the 1.50

probably will if it was 1.50 before.But If I were u and they gave me a bad one then I would be pissed.But they probably wont even give u something higher then 1.50

yeah i guess u gys are right. and yeah dude if they DID gimme a 1.51 or 52, i would DEFINETLY upgrade lol. when i was with 1.50 i was thinking about upgrading...now that u have 1.51 i will FOR SURE upgrade lol. but see, with the genius that i am (lol) i thought of a really good plan, i will go back to Toys "R" Us" and i will ask to exchange this. (and they cant say no cuz its brand new. and thenwhen they exchange ot, i will most likley get a 1.50!!!

(NOTE: oh yeah , and how ca i tell if it is 1.00 or 1.50 or 1.51 or 1.52, or 2.0...someone said sumthing about having a "A" on the box and a "B" and a "C" and sh*t...if there ARE those letters where do i find em, and what does each one stand for?)
