doing a repair install doesnt delete ur data, but niether ur virus so back up ur data and do a clean install. Now, to boot the xp cd, reboot ur comp and press f2, del (those are usually the key to enter bios setup) or whatever ur comp displays at startup to enter setup, push those keys. Once in bios setup, look thru (dont change anything) and look for the boot sequence like this
Primary device 0 (the hard drive that win boots from)
Secondary devico 0 (usually ur cd drive)
so u wanna change the order of this boot sequence so ur comp can boot from the cd. I post a pic.
