Good news for GBA players

Just a heads up....ZX-81 has started to port visual boy advance to PSP. Currently it is running a little slow (frameskip of like 6 is necessary at 333) but he is working on it to make it smoother.

It would be great if you could help out the site by putting this in the Releases section ;) .

Here are some links. It turns out Slasher is taking over the origional GBA emulator while ZX-81 is working on VBA. Just like the N64, looks like another race is on.

Link to d/l GBA:
http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSP-GBA-v1-2-G ... /aid/57128

Link to d/l VBA:
http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSPVBA-v1-01-B ... /aid/56993

Again I have tried the VBA...and it isn't bad...a little speed and it will rock. I haven't tried the GBA update...I will tonight if I have time

I tried the PSP-GBA and it is running smoother. ZX_81 just updated VBA to ver 1.02....but its not as smooth as GBA....so i would say stick with that.

Well VBA is the only option for those of use using the TIFF exploit and GTA (2.0-2.6), since as of now the PSP GBA's newer version doesn't work on our firmware, leaving us with just VBA.

You can load them in ZIP format, so yes you can (use the option for zip when compressin with winrar if you choose to do so, not in RAR format). If you plan on playing the roms at this slow of a speed, then by all means keep going, but if not i suggest you wait until the emulator is at a later version with better functionality.
I haven't tried using Zip so best of luck to you on other roms, but as far as the original format goes, I have tried a few games and it seems to load fine. Maybe you just have a corrupt rom or it is not supported by the emulator in this early of a stage. May i suggest the Worms World Party? Seems to run fine on mine. By the way what firmware are you running?
Back, and playing with my "zompsp".

I don't know, I can go ahead and try out the r-o-m you had on mine, (by the way I'm running 2.01, but some homebrew works better the lower you go), or if you want to email me I can see if I can find one that works or confirm if it works at all, but I won't be back until later tonight so have fun with what you have! So I will try to check with you on what works or not
