More TA-082 Questions

one of my friends at psp-hacks says that he downgraded his PSP which was originally 2.5 and upgraded to 2.6 without even knowing that he had a TA-082 PSP so after he already downgraded he figured out that he did and he was like wtf but I am wondering is this guy lieng ? or did he get lucky because they just Figure that TA-082 PSPs wont work becuz of the modchip but arent sure and they dont say "TA-82s will brick", it said "TA-82s might brick". so I dont know I might try this if I get enough evidence but then again I might not by the morning I will come to a conclusion but before then can someone help thanks

Only try it if you can easily replace it, there may be a super minute chance (im not positive), but I would ONLY try it if you have like a warantee and can easily get a new one.
