my horrible psp experience
The IR leds in my psp wernt firing with the ps2 app. I replaced the eboots thinking they got corrupted but no, the leds wernt sending the signal anymore. So, i took apart my psp, everything from the faceplate, screen, PCB under the d-pad and shape buttons, and had the mobo in my hands looking for any open or short in the tiny resistors or transistors leading to the IR. I found everything intact, from what EYE could see, so i went to puting it back together.
One the second screw i was putting in, the one in the low right hand corner under the battery, disaster struck as the screw was just a bit too long and cracked my poor tft lcd screen because it layed right under it.
I was pissed, but i knew divineo sold them for 35 and i also decided to replace my f'd up face plate with the original sony one they
had. I bought both a new lcd and faceplate for about $88, which sucks cuz i dont have a job, and was saving for a $160 4gig.
I got them in about 2days, installed them and everything works except for my stupid IR. And btw, taking apart the psp is hell, u gotta remember where screws go, dont crack the screen when ur taking it out, and dont discharge static on the nand flash chips.
Even if u dont hear it or feel it, u can still discharge over 1,000 volts. Its like 30k to 60k volts that u see it and/or feel it. Anyways heres the pics from the hellish nightmare
