Possible 2.7+ Downgrader THEROY.....

These guys say that they are using try memory sticks and are able to get the OnE.point.5 eboot update to run on 2.7+. Heres the link http://homebrew271.googlepages.com/home , and lets hear what you guys think.

i freaking hope they get it to work that would rock i told tons of ppl on Star Craft about this stuff we do with psps

Its been there for a while.
I probably should of told you guys but nah.
It seems pretty predictable to happen, I just wish they would give us some proof. (besides their source files)

Has any1 tried the downgrader download for 2.71 they have listed on the site? If anyone has, let me know how it went.

Okay it doesnt work.
Its a peice of sh*&,
nothing like swaploit can go past 1.5, and it will return you to the xmb state.
Its a faker for you.
This should be locked. I mean its pretty obvious since this is swaploit, theres no way it could work, especially for the 1.5 firmware.
This will do nothing, the update consently cheaks it's size, it it changes it retures back to the xbm.
So to make this simple: Swaploit doesn't work on anything past 1.5.

hey mailas give it a chance if they work on it they might be able to get it working also scince sony realeased that Loco Roco demo couldnt an exploit be found in there? if they can get a game running on 2.71 why cant we?

How it works
on memory stick 1 you put the EBOOT Launcher file in a floder called update in the game folder of ur memroy stick. On memory stick 2 u add the EBOOT.PBP (in this test FW 2.00) in a folder called update in the game folder.
Next u start the EBOOT Launcher on the first memory stick. It should go to the white screen that says psp in big letters and under it says play station portable. As soon as it goes to the white screen start pushing up on the power button (don’t hold the power button up just keep pushing it up and letting it go). Do this until it turns off.
When it has finally turned off take the first memory stick out and put the other one in. then push the power button up to turn the psp on and it should continue to work from the point where u left off from the other eboot (if done correctly ).
Now is should display what FW version it is updating to and allow u to click start.
I really wish we could find someone to try this.

We dont know what could happen, who knows if it will brick your PSP, all Im saying is that this consists of Swaploit plus it would return to the xmb.
Since swaploit is the matter Swaploit doesn't work on anything past 1.5!
There is no "maybe if they give it a try it will work", it will not work.
You will just be risking your PSP.
Plus I dont have 2.7 or 2.71. To some of you who are new to psp, when you see something like:
"Press the Power Button Up (dont hold it, press it repeatedly) until its off. Reboot."
Or something like:

you might think this actually is true just from that, but really, its not:

As I said before, this consists of something called swaploit, it CANNOT work on anything past 1.5!
It will just return you to the xmb.
If someone wants to test it, you are just risking your PSP. With something like swaploit and an eboot such as 1.5, your chances of downgrading are 100%, and your chances of risking are up to 75% (since I have no clue what this man has done)
I can tell from his source files, it consists of swaploit.
Anyone willing to test this will risk their PSP. I highly doubt its a brick, but I reccommend you not to do this, since it will for 100% not work!
