Well you could try using the new custom firmware. Its very cool and usable by all 1.5 firmware users. If you want custom firmware, get harleys custom firmware patch for dark_alex's POC custom firmware. It has awesome features like recover mode where you can go back to 1.5 very easily, some cool tricks with the WLAN switch. If you have devhook using the wlan swithc you can go wifi, or automaticaly run devhook (if you have it on your mem stick). if you dont want that, you could try the new PSPVBA I posted.
But I reccommend the custom firmware since you can run 1.0 eboots. Thats what I like best about it.
A cool little application I know is Mini Mario (its not as fun but its pretty cool)

I was telling you stuff that you might of wanted.
You asked whats good for 1.5 right? Those are some cool things I suggested.

*Custom Firmware
*Devhook ISO Loader and Firmware Emulation
*Mini Mario App

Theres more than that but thats what I like.
I heard theres also theres a wifi controller for the PSP but I heard about that a long time ago.
I think it was to control something on the PC with you're PSP or something I dont remember.

Oh sorry. No wonder you're confused lol.
Custom firmware is just something that goes on you're psp using flash files (not the illigle ones) that helps you use you're psp better.
Like for instance, there is a homebrew called Devhook that lets you play ISOs and emulates 2.0+ firmware.
If you have Devhook installed on you're Mem stick, using that little switch on the left when you have custom firmware on your psp, you will be able to go online automatically, or run devhook automatically with just the click of the switch. Pretty cool eh? But theres more.
With harley's custom firmware, (i havnt tried others so this is the only one I know of) you can make it so it skips the introduction of the psp when you turn it on, and go right to the menu screen (dashboard xmb)
Its pretty cool. I dont have the read me on me right now, so I cant remember everything it does, but its very cool. It also has a recovery mode where you can automaticaly go on usb and some other stuff, and automatically get the firmware off in a split second.

Custom firmware is great, but must be used at risk, you might have a chance at bricking you're psp (there have been no comfirmations of people bricking their psp's, so you really dont have much to worry about)

Thats about it. Download Custom firmware (get harleyg's custom firmware patch from pspupdated.qj.net) and read the readme so you can see what custom firmware really is.

PS: Im lovin ur sig!

No you don't, the eboot loader is for 2.0+ PSP ONLY, a 1.5 can run it from the PSP's "main menu" (or XMB), I suggest you give my 1.5 Starter Kit a try. Find the link to my guide where I have the links to the files posted. I included a custom firmware and all of the files needed to run Devhook version 44 I believe. Once you get Devhook you can update it with the proper files I can give you a link to once you get there. Once you get these files you can EMULATE a 2.71 PSP. Enjoy :) .
Back, and playing with my "zompsp".

#1 most of the noobs starter pack is games... games from it are in the PSP/GAME folder extract those to your mem sticks game folder then go to www.psp-hacks.com and scroll down on the home page till you see the new devhook .46 ultimant installer and download it

after that you should be good to go... if you want a custom firmware i recomend herglys v2 its not realy dif from the P.O.C one but i like it better...

you can also get the mp3XMB mod for the cfw witch lets you listen to music while looking at pictures or watchig movies

All that really needs to be done is to drag the files of PSP and dh right into the root of the memory stick, and just overwrite the directories. That's why I put all of the files you need in the folders they have to go into. Plus for n00bs it should be easier to use harleyg's v.1 custom firmware, as opposed to messing around with switches in v.2.

I totally agree. Using the wlan switch is just an awesome idea. Gets things done quicker.

well i never used the first version of hergly's but i got used to it pretty quick tho i only use it so i dont have to see those corrupt data files

i dont use the WLAN switch thing bc ill forget that my umd is in and my psp will freez while loading the game...its a problem thats percisting. But if i go straigh to the XMB by having the umd ejected then, load devhook and then, start the game, it wont freez

i should realy post something in the help section about this...
