weird folder on my memory card

upon inspection on my memory card (from file assistant) i saw a weird folder taking up quite a bit of space in the root of my memory stick it was the folder "found.000" or sumptin and full of it is .chk files. does anyone know if this is hazardous to my psp's health or if its just the memory card files.

my psp turns on and off normally and its ok but i want to make sure..

The only info I can find on a folder called found.000 is that it's a dump of files from Chkdsk. Have you Chkdsk'd your Memory Stick before?

Chkdsk is the windows 2000/XP form on Scan Disk. If you goto USB mode on your PSP, and then open up command prompt (Start, Run, type "cmd"), you can type "chkdsk /f x:" x: being your PSP. This will remove any corrupt files on ur psp, and this may help get rid of that folder.

well make a copy of all ur stuff on ur memory stick to ur comp and delete that files and see if anything went wrong and if it does i dont think it will mess up ur psp cuz its on ur memory stick

I've had mystery files appear on mine with .chk files also, I would just delete them.

Normally .chk files and "found.000" dir's are a by-product of a canceled chkdsk, so in this case I haven't a single clue how to get rid of it short of taking out everything you want from ur memstick and just formatting it
