Tales of phantasia help

I have a problem with tales of phantsia on my psp for gamboy advance.When i hit new game tales of phantasia it restarts and shows the gamboy advance symbol abd restarts the game then i hit new games and the screen goes black and freezes. Do you know what the problem could be? It might be my bios but all my other roms work.
