Help with devhook 0.46 & homebrew

Hi, just a noob father here. I have downgraded my sons psp to 1.5 and loaded devhook .46 and it all works perfectly. Is there a way to have devhook running and still use the home brew apps with having to switchback to 1.5.

As i said..... Noob, so any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice.... I have seen ppl talking about the custom firmware, but i have no idea what it does. Ie can i run a custom firmware and still play the homebrew stuff ???
