Your guys' eyes must be playing tricks on you. The background is all one color. I did it with different layers at first, there is no way it could have been white in just one place b/c of that reason alone.

I'm sorry about making it look boxed in, but honestly, I think it looks great as it is. I don't think it needs to "blend" into anything.

yeah I know I see that, but the logo shouldn't look boxed in as if someone had slapped it on real quick, it should look as if it was connected to the site at matches it's surroundings.

You're kidding me... I'm going to look closer... and if there is indeed a gradient on this site... then I probably won't make a logo b/c it is too hard to match a gradient.

It IS a gradient... f**k!!!... I can't match a damn gradient... sorry folks, but I don't think I can make a logo for pspbrew :(
*edit* this is a picture of the difference in color bottom vs. top.... proving it is a gradient.... so unless someone has that exact gradient already made as a template, I can't do it.

I don't think it looks boxed in though... just me

ill work on it tonight and then post it in the morning......
hmm......
i have one question, though. we might not need to do all this. if we just put it as the logo it might do it auto maticaly. watch if u save the current logo t pictures and look at it it has a white backround too.

do u guys think we should try it or go through all this trouble?

ps. dpman, chek ur PMs.

It would work if I made it transparent, but I can't make it transparent with my current software.

It looks great, the right side looks a bit sketchy, and it wouldnt match the other logos, thats why
we need the full background white. Also, try applying the image (make new layer, go to Image>Apply Image)
then go to blur>guassian blue and set that layer to lighten. Makes it look a lot neater.

Anyone is welcome to take my logo and alter it. Please do! I mean, everyone here seems to like mine the best, but we all have different ideas as to what we want done with it. Since I think that we all kind of want it to look like mine, I will provide a blank template that I feel is the best to start with.

You can change the colors by creating layers on top of it etc. That is in portable network graphic format (fyi). My other versions of this logo are on the other pages in this thread. If you want to change one of them instead, please go ahead.

and here's a quote from me on the second page about the gradiance of the logo
crait wrote:actually, it's not a solid color of grey
it's a liniar gradient
