Sorry.. but I just don't like Crait's at all... it just looks too simple. But hey... since my program can't make transparent images... what would you guys think about me taking Crait's picture, and cutting his gradient out and using it as a sublayer on the background for my logo?

It would be hard, but if you guys really like mine as much as it seems, I'd be willing to give it a go

I figured out a way to make the gradient match perfectly, I just don't want to go through the extra trouble of making another logo if you guys would rather prefer Crait's. And I'd rather not say which program I am using. You will either be astonished that I am making neat things with it, or laugh at me. I'm just going to keep that a secret lol

So is it ok for me to give it a go if I can match the gradient 100%? or is it not acceptable? Or do you guys even want me to try?

We can use them, but we dont want to because it wouldnt match the other ones which look incredibly good.

I can make the gradient line up 100%... I mean, that isn't really an issue.... it will just take a little bit of time. After all, Crait's is a filled background as well... just give me a day or two, I will have made another one and we can decide later. I encourage others to use the template I put on the other page to make their own tweaks. You too Mailas

And we cannot use filled backgrounds because it wouldnt let the site flow together.
It would, just be out there, distracting, and very unneat.
And I don't mind someone saying they don't like my work. It's a part of getting better

What's that about changing my logo?

Let me give you a hint, use transparency. If you look even more closely at my logo, it is transparent, and does not actually have the red line on top of it.



When I made this logo, we had the default phpBB style (the theme that comes with the phpBB) and the background was fill-white. After I applied this theme I had to change the logo, but didn't want to get another one, what I did was I simply removed the background, So no matter what you have in the back, line, cross, etc.. it would still appear on the page.

I have no idea what I did with the source of this logo (psd file) if I can find it maybe I can give it to you guys so you can play around with layers and create something different if you'd like.
