saving space

I was rethinking my FTP server and wanted to know what you all thought. Maybe I should only host the most popular iso's. This would free up my harddrive for other files. I am currently hosting like 80 iso's , 3 ez installers, and episode 1 of TSSP. I would like to house any files that may be hard to find or that you would like to get from a central location other than the download section here. I also thought about creating torrents for the larger files and dedicating my torrent program to seeding them. Just a few ideas, let me hear yours.

It's a generous offer any way you slice it and I don't think that I should influence/ direct your act of kindness. I just thank you for providing things for people.

I would like to give some mods upload privledges but need to know which directories to create and also which iso's to kill. I only have like 80 gigs of space and I do have some movies on there as well. The movies aren't being shared. I could but I need to convert them for the psp first.

to tbag: what's wrong with the bmx game?

That all comes back to maybe I should dedicate my torrent program to seeding them.

to dpman: I don't mind some direction. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well, the only thing I don't necessarily agree with is giving mods or admins certain privileges, but then again you can do whatever you want with your own things. Maybe I'm just the only mod that thinks about the forum before himself...

I understand the point you make about the privileges for mods. I probably should keep it under my control.

I just don't necessarily agree with giving private uses to certain people on something you make public... (keep up with that?).

I mean, if you wanted to only give certain mods/ admins things instead of other users I'd just do so in private.

The only reason to give mods upload priv's was so they could host those files that were questionable for everyone to get. Not for their own use. You follow what I'm saying.

EDIT: I have found a limitation with my FTP server that only allows 3 usernames to entered in the configuration. Soooo tonight I will be changing FTP server software and hopefully I can have all the problems people have been reporting back to me worked tomorrow. Thanks to those that have let me know.

EDIT #2: I am taking the FTP Server offline right now to make some corrections. If I don't get it back up tonight I will have it back up sometime during the day tomorrow. I will post here again when it is back online. Thanks for being patient.

EDIT #3: OK I think I have it. I have it so 9 of you can login at once and download up to 5 files a piece at a time. For those of you who have the password already they have changed a bit so PM me again if you still want it.

Thanks for your generosity and about what you said regarding the "iffy" files and what-not, I completely understand you. I couldn't really put my finger on a good reasoning at first but you pointed out a good point.
