Newbi Asking Daft Questions!!!

Hi All,

Wife bought me my PSP for x-mas and I think it is brill. Use it all the time for games/music/Films (Go camping quite a lot on my own so its a toal home entertainment system)

The questions that I would like to ask are as follows:

1. I know that it is possible to read text files and saved HTML fies on the psp. But were do you put them on the mermory card. Also is it possible to read PDF files on the psp??

2. If you have a large memcard (I have 3, 1 x 32mb, 1 x 2 gig, 1 x 4 gig) is it possible to copy a game from the drive transfer it to your PC via the USB cable and then transfer the lot to the mem card, so that the game would work without the disc in the machine??

I have read about this homebrew stuff but I have already upgraded my firmware to 3.10 so I belive that I cannot use any of the homebrew stuff.

Please don't be offended by these daft questions by at my age (46) it has took me all my time just to master the computer to turn it on.

Hope that you can answer these questions.

Cheers,

Fred :D :D :D :D :D

check out the tutorials section here (and google things you don't understand/ wikipedia is good)

it will seriously change your view on the system. possibly change your life.

Hi All,

Many thanks for the reply's.

Just a few more questions please.

I take it that I have to downgrade my firmware before I can do any of the above mentioned questions that I asked.

Is it possible to downgrade my firmware from 3.10 to what ever I need. If so could you please point me in the right direction for the relevant files that I need and also in as plain an language as possible that I can understand.

If it is possible, what are the posibilities of making my psp a brick (Is that the correct term)

Sorry for asking, and any help will be grately appriciated.

Cheers,

Fred
