firmware help

hey guys, noob question

i've been searching for custom firmwares and found alot about 3.03 OE by dark Alex, which is highly recomended. However, I haven't heard that much about the new 3.10 OE, which is supposedly a better version. My question is, should I get the 3.03 OE or the 3.10 OE? I'm buying a psp on ebay and the seller has given me the option of choosing the firmware, 1.5 or 3.10 OE. Should I just take the 1.5 firmware and get the 3.03 OE myself or let the seller install the 3.10 OE for me?

so is it possible to go from 3.03 OE to 3.10 OE when new games come out for the 3.10 firmware?

the reason i ask is that the person who im buying the psp from is giving me a choice of either 1.5 or 3.10 OE firmware. I'm thinking of getting the 1.5 and then upgrading it to 3.03OE myself but I am afraid of bricking. At least if i let the seller upgrade to 3.10 OE there wont be a problem of bricking (hopefully he won't ship me a brick if that does happen)

how likely is it for a 1.5 psp to brick when u install 3.03 OE?

Is it possible to downgrade this to 3.03 OE-C without having GTA:LCS?

(do you mean the sony update or the custom firmware?. if sony there isnt anything you can do as of the moment.if custom look down)

3.10 oe-a is about the same as 3.03 oe-c th only thing is there is less customization. And you can at any time go back to any other firmware. follow this tutorial to take you back to 1.5 . you can upgrade t0 3.03 oe-c from there.

hey, ive been thinking about goin back to 3.03 oe-c from my 3.1 oe for the icons, but only if there is more free flash space... if there is than ill do it, if not im stickin with mine

i have a ta-082 motherboard that has been downgraded to 1.5 firmware, as i understand it, there are some side effects of this downgrade like bad ad-hoc and brightness levels etc. are there any way to fix these problems? I wanna have a good working 1.5 fw before i upgrade to 3.03oe-c

i mean like, when ever i restore default settings, i would get a blank screen and i have to press the brightness button to get the screen again. is there anyway to fix that? I read somewhere that you have to change some keys or something in the motherboard.
