New here, with a few questions.

Well, im thinking about buying a psp from gamestop, and getting homebrew and all that nice stuff. Just a few questions though:

1. Does anybody know what FW is currently sold in stores? Hopefully no later than 3.03..

2. Let me get this straight. The only time i would have to worry about bricking is during an upgrade or downgrade right? Assuming all i want to do is put the nes, snes, and n64 emulators on my psp, bricking can't occur when im playing an emulator right?

A lot of the current firmwares are 2.71 and im sure there ae no 3.10s out there yet.

Whered you buy yours? my local walmart has about 30 in and there all 2.71's.
