2.60 FW + TA-082 MB + No wireless connectivity != 3.03oe-c

So i've tried my hardest to find a tutorial or someone else's post with the same situation as i have, but to no avail. I don't have GTA:LCS (still not sure why Liberty City Stories would help O_o;) but i do have a USB cable, at least :P

all the tutes i've looked through are for 2.71 firmware, and if i was close to an access point, i'd already have updated to it, but i'm not. So i guess i either need a way to upgrade to 2.71 through the mem card, or a way to get to 3.03oe-c from 2.60.

anyone know how to do this? Also, i apologize greatly if the answers are all in plain sight.. i just got my PSP 12 hours ago and have been looking everywhere for answers, and i've just about given up. i'm sure i've looked over the solution a million times over, i'm just too exhausted now to find it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

-----EDIT-----
Also, i forgot to mention, i tried following the Tutorial named "[Tutorial] Installation of 3.03oe-c (custom firmware)" but when i got to step 3/d the psp tries to run the program, but then it just shuts down. I turn it back on and nothing has changed. I did notice a few minor inconsistencies with the tutorial though. For instance, the folders that were unzipped from the files located on that thread are actually called oeupdmaker not oeupmaker, and the program in the list under games wasn't called oeupmaker, either, it was something like '3.03 oe-c update maker' or something to that effect.

I assume none of these inconsistencies hold any real significance, but i'd like to have the benevolent person who decides to help me be fully informed of my situation.. thanks in advance :)

You'll have to update to 2.71 by placing it's UPDATE.PBP in the UPDATE folder located in your GAME folder. You should find the firmware upgrade by searching Google. After that, follow a 2.71 downgrade tutorial that you think is safest. After following the tutorial's directions, use the 3.03 OE-C easy installer supplied on Dark_AleX's website. If you don't know where to continue from here look on the page and find "REV C" for "3.03 OPEN-EDITION". From then on installing the custom firmware is pretty much common sense as long as you read the readme supplied in the download.

Really, it's not that hard.

Firstly, i'd like to thank you 2Rev for showing me how to upgrade to 2.71 without wireless connection, i was unsure if it was even possible. So after i did that, i just downloaded a file specifically for TA-082 Mobos and followed the instructions included within (http://www.sendspace.com/file/0mob1d for anyone else that may stumble upon this problem) and now i have 1.50! :D :D :D

Now i'm going for 3.03oe-c. I think the biggest hurdle was that i kept reading conflicting things about the mobo, and people kept saying no matter what, never try to downgrade the TA-082. So i was unsure, but i finally just grit my teeth and did it. If 3.03oe-c works, then i'll be glad i did.. if i mess it up after coming this far.. well, ,whatever, it was an awesome experience :)

thanks again :)

-----EDIT-----
oh yeah, can i format the memory card now?

-----RE-EDIT-----
nevermind, i just tested by removing the memory and rebooting the psp, it was alright, so i formatted it... Now for 3.03oe-c :D

-----RE-RE-EDIT-----
Ok, i've got 3.03oe-c installed, thanks so much, looks like the only real help i needed was for someone to basically tell me to stop being stupid :P
Thanks again, 2Rev :)
