Lcd Ghosting

Hey I noticed my psp has bad ghosting in everything. Games and movies seem delayed. I bought my psp the day it came out...since 1.5...I'm wondering if the first models had a crappier lcd and/or slower refresh rate than the newer models. Does anyone have the same issue? Or should I consider purchasing a new lcd?

It could possibly be your memory stick. Fake memory sticks are slightly slower than legitimate memory sticks. However, if you are talking about pressing x on your game memory stick then it takes a few seconds to load the icons, then selecting a game and takes a few seconds to go to the gameboot screen. Then yes, there are some slight delays which are to be expected since all that stuff is being read from the memory stick.

Or are you experiencing long delays?
If this is the case you might want to consider reformatting your memory stick.

Its not necessarily a "delay" as far as like, waiting times, I'm not worried about that...Its ghosting...What I meant by a delay is how if you watch a movie, and you look at a persons face, the image is almost frozen into the lcd for .25 seconds and on games its as if everything has tails...Almost blurry...and I have 3 memory sticks; all of them are Sandisk - 1 gig 2 gig and 4 gig.

You can try speeding up the cpu speed in your recovery menu (hold R trigger on startup)
That stuff usually happens with bigger files. If your game is approaching 1gb then yeah that kind of stuff happens. Speeding up the cpu processor should help a bit though. As for movies, its usually the conversion that causes that kind of delay.

Well quite frankly, I truly don't mind the load times or even frame rate for that matter; I have noticed this from the beginning of owning my psp. I got my psp with the free spiderman 2 movie, and I noticed it the first time I watched it - it seems like everything has a shadow or tail; its like you just downed a bottle of nyquil and picked up your psp. Its called ghosting...Alot of lcd's have this problem, but my question is, does everyone's psp ghost? Should I consider buying a new lcd screen for it, or even a new psp?
