BLACK SCREEN...BUT GREEN POWER LIGHT...

hey guys...i was following the tut on the downgrade of 2.71. I missed step #4 and went ahead with the "Update X.YZ
". i saw some red text telling me about pressing "X" to confirm the flash... i did it and after reboot ..the screen stayed black..but the power light is green. And i also notice that when i plug the ac power (while the battery is installed the psp) the power led turn orange.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 options...send it to sony and have them fix it (just say you were updating to the new 3.50 firmware) or.. purchase a mod chip and solder or have someone solder it for you. or... purchase a new motherboard.

I happen to own one of those paperweights as well. It's not my main psp (I've never actually bricked a psp yet) but it's someone's psp that is beyond repair, and I just held on to it. It's a pretty classy paperweight though.
