2.08??? You mean 2.8? If you have 2.8 Then you can downgrade to 1.5, using some files which you can find a guide in the tutorials section, and then upgrade to a custom firmware of your choice. If you have anything lower then you could possibly upgrade to just 2.71 and then downgrade. But if you have 2.81 or higher then you can upgrade to 3.03 and then use Grand Theft Auto: Liberty city stories (a unpatched version, meaning it has the 2.0 update on the disc) to downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to a custom firmware. Once you have a custom firmware (Or you could just stay at 1.5, but I wouldn't suggest it) you can download the newest deadalus from our downloads section and transfer it to your psp with the ROM using a usb cable or put the memory card in your computer using some mem card reader for your computer. Sorry if it was vague but you can find a lot more info in the tutorials section.

And make a folder in the GAME folder titled UPDATE and put EBOOT.PBP in it.

If they have a picture (Preferrably a picture with there username in it somewhere) of the game and it is 2.0 then its worth a try. But no one can really tell if the person is trustworthy or not. But they cost wayyyy to much off ebay. I bought mine from blockbuster for 15 bucks.

Im following the tutorial from the forums now point 5 says: 5 - Delete <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE, which is easy enough but then it goes onto say
6 - Copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.03 downgrader ZIP to
the memory stick (ANYWHERE IN PARTICULAR????)

7 - Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. The 1.50 update can be
located here for download Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP! (I thought i deleted this file in step 5 or is it the UPDATE folder in MS_ROOT from step 6.

Very complicated

i wouldnt recommend purchasing off ebay unless your ready to dish out $70-$80 for a game that you can rent or purchase for $10-$20...They really arent as hard to find as people say.

Anyways...

Well, inside the ms_root folder you'll find a file entitled psp. you'll paste that in the same location that your psp file folder is already located. when it asks if you would like to overwrite, you click yes.

you did delete it. however the file folder that you just pasted in step 6 has another file named eboot.pbp. So just rename the 1.50 file it states to download to update.pbp and you shouldnt run into any problems.

You don't need a fireware to play n64 emulators. But you can use any custom firmware to play a n64 emulator. All you need is to upgrade to any firmware from Dark_Alex (They end in OE, open edition, ie. 3.03OE would be a custom firmware and if you see 3.03OE-C then that would be the latest version of 3.03OE) the n64 emulator and the rom of any game you want to play. Then you copy the folders to the GAME directory on your psp's memory stick and go to the Game menu on the xmb and run the emulator! recovery mode is specifically for well, recovery and some settings such as xmb customization, or enabling a option to hide the corrupt icon on some files.

O and personally I use 3.40OE-A, since it is the latest version out and yea. However others may say 3.03OE-C is the best. So whichever one you want you can use.
