my norton antivirus is deleting files that arnt viruses

when i try run some .exe files the command box pops up and goes away and sometimes nothing happens.before i reinstalled windows with a disk a friend gave me they would always run right and now the icons show up as those white boxes with the blue outside like a mini window and also my norton antivirus is saying that all of those same .exe files are viruses and it will delete them its getting really anoying

I have norton 2006 and don't have that problem. You can either disable it while you run the programs, or remove it completely.

What these .exes used for/

TRust me NORTON did this for me
it deleted my History culminating activity ( 25% of mark) On last day of it saying it was trojan

maybe check your level of security
i run mcafee (FOR ME IT WORKS SHUSH! )
Sometimes if its set to like LOCKDOWN
itll do that.
