Need help downloading from this site!!!

Yeah,I am the new guy here,I know nothing of brewing or anything like this and I realy need help in donloading this upgrade: http://www.pspbrew.com/?page=fileInfo&cid=&d=4243 (sorry you will have to copy and paste) but anyway...I cont find anyway to downloa or what file to put it in on my PSP,as in System Video Games Music or Genral,I have no clue

Well first off what firmware are you? You need to be in custom firmware to be able to do anything before we can help you.

Yea thats the Halo xmb theme and a halo 2d game(it isn't really an official demo), gotta have a custom firmware. Though thanks to recent developments, your gona need to buy lumines as soon as possible if you have a high firmware (2.81 and up, that is unless you have GTA:VCS which is for downgrading 3.03, but if you don't have GTA and your firmware is 2.81 and up then you need to go buy lumines and wait for the downgrader to be made which shouldn't take any time at all).

Um....how do you find out your filmware?I dont know it or I didnt knew such a thing existed,but Yeah,no I need help to find out how to find my filmware,I dont see anything about it on my PSP,i dont htink.

go to your settings for your psp and go to system settings than go to system information and it will look like this



MAC Addressxx:(YOUR MAC ADDRESS HERE)
System Software: Version your version here(like 3.30 or somthing)
Nickname: what ever it is

if your version/firmware(fw) is 3.03 or below thats good if it is abouve there is a good cahnce that you will be able to downgrade soon [/u]

Ok,now that is settled,I have a 3.03 Filmware Version thingy,so now what do I do?Do i use the PSP's Network to go to this site and then download or can I use the computer and the USB cable?Because I have been usiong the USB....Dont know if that is right or not,but doesnt hurt to try

No you have to go buy GTA:LCS (An unpatched version) so you can downgrade to 1.5 then you can upgrade to a custom firmware which will allow you to run that stuff. Or you could wait for the newest downgrader to be made and buy a copy of Lumines (any copy will work, doesn't have to be a certain one) which will allow you to upgrade to 3.11 and downgrade to 1.5. But just stay at 3.03 for the mean time until you find a copy of unpatched GTA:LCS.

Its LCS not VCS and it has to be the unpatched one. you can tell by looking at the copyright dates...2005 = unpatched 2006 = patched, as well as on the psp screen it will display update ver 2.00 If you dont want to purchase it, im sure you can rent it from a local video game store.

Well first you can make sure you put a space after commas when typing. Then do this so you can tell if its the patched or unpatched version. Look at the copyright dates...2005 = unpatched 2006 = patched, as well as on the psp screen it will display update ver 2.00 if it displays something else its patched.

I thought on that one website that tells you the ULUS numbers of patched and unpatched ones, it said you can't completely trust the copyright number? Well it can't be one of those "greatest hits" thing either. But the best way to tell is the update thing like yunoko said.

Yeah, thanks for the help all!I think I got it all, buy GTA:LCS unpatched, then downgrade to a 1.5, and then make a custom filmware. I got it!but what about the Lumines thingy?Is that something else that you have to buy or do you HAVE to have the Lumines?After this I am pretty sure that it is it...

You have to upgrade to one of the custom firmwares(Such as 3.03OE-C or 3.40OE-A). Not make one. And lumines is what game you have to use if you want to downgrade anything higher then 3.03. So like if you can't find an unpatched version of GTA:LCS then you can use your psp to upgrade to sony's 3.50 then buy Lumines and downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to any custom firmwares out.
