UMD Problem after flashing? (3.40oe)

Well as a last resort just to test out your theory... try recovering your psp to 1.50 and see if it still has the same issues. If it does, then your gonna have to either replace the umd reader/laser components or deal with it for the time being. I wouldn't bother sending it to Sony as it's real easy to swap the components yourself. They would probably charge you somewhere in the vicinity of $90 to repair whereas you can get yourself a replacement umd drive for $10-$20 on ebay. If you need a tutorial on disassembly i can provide one for you and if you get stuck you can post back here or add me to msn as i've taken psp's apart for repairs numerous times.

But wouldn't it be covered under the 1 year warrenty?

Already Downgraded to 1.50. The clicks were still there...

But I just upgraded to 3.52 M33 (Great firmware btw ). But yeah, It's still there.

I guess I'll just live with it. When I can't take it anymore, I'll probably send it in, or buy another.. hah.
