Many Key characters and races from the book and movie join you like: Mitsuru, Rei, Wataru, and key races like, Waterkin, Kitkin, Ahnkin and dragon. This 20 hour or so long RPG feels quite epic with full orchestral scores and nice looking cutscenes. An awesome gameplay feature are unity. Unity is gained when characters are on the playing field a lot together Unity attacks are special attacks that require two or more characters and to incredible damage. Unity is also used in the form of defense, unity defend will make the character with the highest defense stat defend the character that has the lowest health. Unity is a great way to get you to think strategically and rotate characters often.
Though with as much going for it, there are things that need improvement. Random battles are frequent and annoying, you often lose track of where your are supposed to be going because of the number of them. No map is given to the player, so it's very hard to know where you are going, and the NPC's often give vague directions to your destination, so getting lost is frequent.
