EBOOT question

I have 3.40 oe A custom on my psp. I found a few rom emulators come with eboot files. If I run these am I flashing my psp? I am unclear about what the eboot files do. any clarification would be appreciated, thanks.

No your not flashing. Your just loading it from the memory stick.
