Homebrew idea

I'm not sure if this fits here, but it relates to homebrews, so I suppose its a good idea.

I have tons of sheetmusic, and instead of printing out 200+ pages, I'd rather read them on my PSP. This can already be done under the Photos tab, but you have to zoom and move the picture manually, and thats just not very timesaving, let alone helpful to the pianist. I'd like to make something like this myself, but I don't have the time, or the knowledge, to do so. Just wanted to know if this was a good idea or not.

Yeah, it is random... But it'd be a hell load of a lot easier to read music on a PSP.

Why don't you just split up the sheet music into differen't pictures and use the slideshow option?

It's not that simple. I tried that, but then I realized that there are different BPMs (Beats Per Minute) for every song created. Max300 from DDR for example, 300 per minute, wouldn't be as fast as Can't Stop Fallin in Love (Speed Mix), which I think is 170-190. Plus, some songs get complicated. One minute, you can be in 4/4 time, and the next, you can be jumping from 9/8 to 3/4 to cut time back to 4/4 and repeat all over again.

I mean... it's definitely an "out there" idea, but it seems like it would be a good idea for reading music. Then again, if the slide show function isn't sufficient... I wouldn't think that a program would be sufficient either unless it was made specifically for each song individually... and then there's the questions of,

"What songs?"

Sounds good in theory, but in actuality, I'm unsure of whether that would be helpful or not. I'm going to have to say no.

I think it would be a good idea. My cousin plays alot of instruments and I think it would benefit her greatly. I don't think I would have ever thought of it xD.

The only real simple way I can think of is to have a red line run across the screen, and have the line pretty much dependant on the BPM. Funky songs are harder though... I suppose one could also program it to slow down at certain points, speed back up, vice versa, and then have the file save. The actuall pictures of the sheet music though... That part I'm going to have to put more caffene into.
