UK version - downgrade help ?!!!!!?!!!!

I hae tried everything to downgrade my psp (format memory stick, factory setings, no photos apart form the tif, quickly trying to select the tif etc) but no joy! jsut freezes and turns off. The only thing I can think is that my UK version of v2 firmware is different to the US and Jap version... and therefore wont work.
Has anyone successfully downgraded a UK spec PSP?
I wouldn't have thought this make a difference.

no it doesnt make a diffrence. some other guy on here was trying to do the same as u and he did with the american versions

yes I have read all the help tutorials (over and over!)..and double/trebble checked everything is in the right place .... and my psp just crashes when I am trying to access the tif in my photos (its the only file in photos too). I have been told that you need to go to photos and try to select the tif ''quickly' ie X, down, X fast.... which aparently works... except on mine! I have restarted and tried this so many times that I now want to smash it!

Hello mate, i am in the UK. I had the 1.52 version to start with, upgraded to 2.0 a week later. Then when the downgrader came out - i sucessfully downgraded with no problem at all.

Maybe there is something you are not doing right?

I had the same problem. I gave up, but a week later i found this link and followed it step by step downloading from the link as well and it work for me. mGive it a try you have nothing to lose.
