It will be hacked... if someone's around to hack it. Yeah, DAX said he was leaving us before and continued to code under an alias... but if he's gone for good that is a huge hit to the scene. It takes some serious coding skills to pull off what he was doing, and there doesn't seem to be other people up to the task considering there haven't been other people developing such big things. After the whole Pandora leak it's very possible noobz has disbanded...

I need to go buy a PSP batt.

I think I might be the one to hack this if I get around to it. It won't be a software hack because I don't know how to code, but I'm pretty sure I can perform a hardware hack on it. I made another thread about it. I'm sure the insides of the battery haven't changed too much - and also that my theory is pretty solid. I'm going to do additional research to look into my theory.

hmm...I think Sony is trying to battle it with DAX, making sure he stays down the drain. Lol I doubt we will be saying that
anytime soon.

I really wonder on how they find out there sources so fast. I think one of us is sony lol jk. Well this sucks, but what can you do. If I buy a couple of battery's I'm going to open up a couple and see whats in it then try and get a new new one that has this (Protection) and see the differences and share with you. Even though I'm not good with coding I like DPM can do some hardware hacking.

I'm sure sony keeps updated on all the psp stuff by looking at forums and stuff. even looking at youtube you can find anything. I looked into it a little more and i think the original batteries were made in China, as the new ones are made in Japan. so when you go buy a new batt. make sure it is made in china, not 100% sure but i think this is true.

I'm sure companies like Sony have people on the payroll whose job is to keep up to date on the hacking scene. Sony probably finds out about stuff before most of us do... It really isn't hard to keep track. Whenever something big comes out, it's all over the internet. Sony can use irc just as well as we can.

Yes that is true.

Thats also true but I don't get it since Pandora came out Sony has been making loads of money from people buying there battery's I just don't get why they can't let us be. Like because if they had ever psp on earth there real firmware and nobody could homebrew / hack nobody would buy/play the psp. Since homebrew/hacking came in the Sony psp is one of the most popular products.

All Sony has to do is put PSP and hacks in the same sentence in google.

Well I just thought of a smart thing. Go buy a new battery from the store doesn't matter if it says MADE IN CHINA, OR MADE IN JAPAN. Take it home keep that battery for every day use and the battery that came with your PSP for Pandora.
