I think I've figured this whole pandora's battery out...

Does this seem like it would work?

I think I've figured this whole pandora's battery out...

So look at it this way. You have a battery right... but you don't have access to a second psp with homebrew... so how do you make a pandora's battery? Well, I've been looking at diagrams of the battery, and I know about the 3 pins that plug in to the PSP from the inside and that one of them carries "service data" information, and it seems to me that if you just unsolder pin number 5 on the chip in the battery, that it will turn into a pandoras battery. I mean, that's where the culprit SEEMS to be.

Anywho, I don't know for sure, but if any of you are willing to risk a battery and have decent soldering skills, you should try it out. Also, since it's a lithium ion battery, be careful out there. They don't like heat.

I mean, I think the 6th pin is ground... so I'd try not to connect 5 and 6 together... and the pins are small... so maybe a pocket knife would help to pry it some? If any of you have an old junker battery or something, I think this is worth looking into.

My soldering skills go about as far as soldering some LED's to some wires. Specially desoldering.... Ugh. Me+ Solder braid = Ugly.
If I had an extra battery laying around I would, but you know how that goes. Once I pick up some extra pocket money I can buy one and try it...if I ever get some extra money.

If you guys know anything about soldering LED's into the xbox 1 controller ports, then that is abotu as far as my soldering skills extend. Have I ever showed yall pics of my xbox?
